    African American Woman Doll-8 1/2-dress-BURNT HEAD-FACE-HANDS -RARE!!. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
    This is the most RARE African American Doll I have ever seen. I am sure it has a very heart breaking story. I have looked and asked many people and heard some ideas but you be the judge. The dress and apron have a light weight gauze feel. Off white under slip. Green leaf patterned pendant at neck. The body is cloth but has metal wires holding it together. The hands are pinned on with straight pins. The head and hands are terribly burnt. You can make out nose, eyes when you look close. The head shows loss of hair. Clothing is in good shape considering it’s age. Fancy handkerchief in pocket of apron. Black shoes and stockings (mesh). Shoes have heels. Doll measures approximately 8 1/2 inches. To me this African American doll looks to be the housekeeper to a family. It belongs in a museum.. Quite the doll to add to your collection. I usually ship first class but this item is special.
